Silly Girls
The kids still love the little space in between the fridge and the cupboards. They all 3 used to be able to fit, but now only 2 of them can fit at a time. We got some cute shots of the girls cheesin the camera recently sitting in their favorite spot.

We love to Brush our Teeth!
Being that their mother is a dentist, my poor children have no hope of escaping tooth brushing. In fact, I have always told my patients who have 1 year olds that as long as they brush at least once a day that is good. I, however, have seen too many poor little kids suffer from lack of good dental hygiene at a young age that I am a little obsessed with making sure we take good care of their teeth. They brush once in the morning and once before bedtime and they know the routine. They don't always consent to the tooth brushing, but they have come to realize that whether they agree or disagree...their teeth will get brushed! In fact, when they scream it gives me even better access! Hee hee! They do get all excited when I bring the toothbrushes out, but THEY want to brush their own teeth. They are becoming so independent! :)

St. Paty's Day
A year ago, my mom bought some fun St. Patrick's Day stuff and so she brought it over this year. The kids had much more fun with it this year and even decided they liked wearing the green pig tails. But, the green hat won the prize for the most coveted. They kept filling it with stuff and carrying it around the house. Alexa even took the ribbon with the 4 leaf clovers that went on the hat off and wore it around herself like a sash. She was walking around like she was Miss St. Patrick's Day.

Triplets wanting freedom!
The latest update, is that both Alana & Alexa ended up with ear infections a few days after Josiah was diagnosed with pneumonia. I don't know what the odds are, but we had one miserable household for a few weeks. The good news is that everyone seems to be on the mend. All 3 are getting their appetites back and drinking their normal amount of fluids. They each lost some weight, which is hard to do when they are already still small for their age. But, I think it won't be long until they are back up to where they were. We are still dealing with a few tummy aches from the antibiotics for the ear infections. But, other than that I think everyone is finally feeling better! Yeah, Thank you, Lord!
Due to the illnesses we've endured over the last 3 1/2 weeks, we've unfortunately had to spend most of our time at home, with the exception of a few doctor visits. They did amazingly well for being cooped up in the house for so many days. It was quite funny, though, when I walked in the living room from after being in the kitchen for a couple of minutes. They had terrorized the living room! All 4 of their chairs were knocked over and all their toys were scattered everywhere. I think they were trying to tell me something!

The Tunnel Continues...
Just an update: We thought everyone was finally getting better when Josiah took a turn for the worse. He was diagnosed yesterday with pneumonia and has started antibiotic treatment. He continues to be very sick and doesn't want to eat or drink anything. If he doesn't start to show some significant improvement he may need to be admitted into the hospital for IV fluids and antibiotics. Please pray for him to get over this quickly and fully. Please also pray for the girls, who seem to feel better one day and feel worse the next. I think our whole household could use some prayers. Eric & I were set to leave tomorrow on a 5 day trip to Hawaii for an early celebration of our 5 year anniversary. We have decided to postpone our trip until the family is all well. Please pray for peace, endurance and strength as we try to return to our normal healthy state. Thanks so much.

Finally, a Light at the end of a very long Tunnel
We are finally starting to see the end of a very nasty virus! For over a week, the Jardine household has been home to 3 very sick kids, 1 very sick mommy, and 1 semi-sick daddy. Even after we all received our flu virus and H1Ni vaccine quite awhile ago, we managed to catch a nasty flu virus that seemed to never go away. Josiah was the first to get it, Alana was next and then came Alexa all within a few days of each other. I thought I was going to be lucky and not get it...Wrong! It got me and knocked me down for several days. Thankfully, Eric was pretty strong and managed to get by with only a few of the nasal symptoms. Both our moms each took a turn taking care of us, as well, and they managed to amazingly stay healthy.
Thankfully, we are a very healthy family and have managed to get through an entire year and a half with only a couple of very minor colds. This one, however, made us very thankful that we are as healthy as we are. We still are getting over the lingering runny noses, congestion and cough. But, I think we are finally seeing the light at the end of this very long tunnel.
This last week we have spent more time getting up in the middle of the night that we have in the entire first year and a half (we are so very thankful for great sleeping kids). We spent many nights on the couch or in the rocking chair holding a sick kid. My sweet husband, however, takes the prize for taking the best care of us ALL possible. He pretty much spent the entire weekend taking care of the kids (and me), while I tried to get some rest. So glad to be feeling better...

I agree...there's nothing quite like falling asleep in daddy's arms!

Still Swingin Together
The girls have always loved to swing, especially together. Recently, however, they haven't been as interested in swinging because they'd rather run around and climb on things instead of being confined to a swing. However, we decided to try to put the girls together in the swing to see if they would still fit and sure enough they did! They are definitely getting a little tight, but they managed. Not bad for 20 months old. They actually had a lot of fun and giggled quite a lot!

Hearts for Valentine's Day
Eric loves to cook breakfast for the kids on the weekends! They get eggs, pancakes or waffles pretty much every day on the weekends. I want to say that they are "spoiled", but the truth is that I've been getting breakfast made for me on the weekends ever since we first got married. So, I guess the truth is that I am quite spoiled myself!
Eric decided to make heart shaped pancakes on Valentine's Day and they turned out really cute & yummy. The kids are used to getting their food already cut up in tiny pieces, so when we gave them the whole pancake they just stared at it for awhile like, "What am I supposed to do with that?" After we showed them how to take a bite out of it, they got into the hang of it and started eating it. Thanks, honey, for the yummy heart pancakes! We ALL loved them!

Yummy heart pancakes.

I think that's also a "snail" pancake?

Alana finally digging in to the heart pancake.

Josiah & the Dishwasher
Josiah is addicted to the dishwasher. I am sure I must've made the mistake at some point of letting him "play around" while I was unloading the dishwasher. Now, every time he walks by it he feels the need to open it and try to remove everything inside. He's even smart enough to know how to unlock it & open it when it is locked. So, we are on our second "child proof" dishwasher lock. The first one he ripped off shortly after we installed it. The second one seems to be doing the trick, though. Either that or he has already lost interest and moved onto other forbidden territories...

This is what I found after leaving the kitchen for 30 seconds!

He even convinced Alana to jump on! I keep telling her, "Don't follow him! He will get you into trouble!" But, so far she hasn't seemed to listen.

The Jardine Triplet Table
We officially have the coolest "kids" table ever. Eric's dad, along with the help of a very good friend, actually made this table for the kids for Christmas. Its got all 3 of their names written on it, as well as a bible verse. So, it is a one of a kind and I am sorry to say that you can't buy it at Target, Toys R Us or any other stores. It's a very special gift that I know the kids will use and enjoy for many years to come. They already sit and play at it every day. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Jardine!

Ponytails
The girls love to have anything in their hair or on their head, whether it be a barrette or a hat. They usually tap the top of their head with their hand indicating that they want something in their hair. Unfortunately, once they get the barrette in their hair they quickly remove it themselves or with the help of their sibling. However, my mom decided to try a "ponytail" and they loved it! They were fascinated with touching each others ponytail, but they weren't able to take them out. So, they actually kept them in for a long time.

The Tissue Bandits
The kids have always had a fascination with pulling things out, such as wipes from the wipes container. In fact, they seem to love trying to pull them out as fast as they can. I try to get to them before they pull out the entire package one by one. Sometimes I am successful and sometimes I am not. Well, they got a hold of a box of tissues at my parent's house and went wild. All 3 of them joined in and it was hard to tell who started it. Since, I was watching from a distance, I know it was Alana who was the initial "puller", but it soon became a family affair. They each took turns pulling the tissue out as fast as they could until there was one huge mess to clean up...ohhh...the story of my life! :)

Alana saying "Uh Oh!" after realizing all the tissues were gone!

"Are you sure it's empty?"

Josiah inspecting the damage.

No one wants to confess to who did it.
