All 3 in one picture?

We have failed miserably recently trying to get a picture of all 3 kids together looking at the camera & smiling. It used to be so easy. We'd line them all up on the couch and snap away. Now, they are so wiggly and squirmy and don't want to sit still for a second. Trying to fit them all in the same chair is now over. So, we decided to place a couple of baskets in front of a chair and have Joe sit on the chair and the girls sit on the baskets. It kinda sorta worked. However, if you look closely, Alana had a bloody nose earlier in the day. Anyway, here is what we got...

Bay to Breakers

Eric & I decided to take advantage of living just a couple of blocks away from the Bay to Breakers course through Golden Gate Park. So, we bundled the kids up and jumped on the bus to get a front row seat to the action. It was our first bus ride with the kids and it was quite fun. Josiah kept showing his shovel to the lady sitting next to him and everybody was quite intrigued by the triple stroller. The funniest part is that Bay to Breakers is known for the crazy people and costumes and yet, people were stopping and asking to take their pictures with the kids in their triple stroller...go figure!

Retirement Party Fun

Last weekend, we took the kids to a retirement party for my "uncle" Dave. There was a fun park right next to the party and the kids had a blast!

Fish

The kids' new favorite word is "FISH". Since, we have taken them quite a few times to the aquarium and to the pond with fish & turtles at the mall, they are very familiar with fish. In fact, one of their favorite words to say is, "fish". The discovery center has a really cute outside play area with a stream that has floating "fish" (they are plastic) and turtles. It was finally warm enough to let the kids play in the water, recently. Josiah & Alexa LOVED it! They both would've jumped right in if we would've let them. Alana, on the other hand, wasn't too sure about the whole thing. In fact, there is one picture below where she is showing me her hands with disgust after putting them in the water. It was quite funny!

Alexa showing off her "catch".

Josiah grabbing his share of the fish.

That's the shovel that Josiah carried all the way from one end of the discovery center to the other. He is obsessed with shovels, at the moment. Big or small he loves them all!

Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day weekend, Eric & I took the kids on Saturday to a park in Burlinghame. We took them to this same park a few months ago & it was amazing to notice the difference of how the kids played. The last time we were there, the kids were barely walking and now they are running up and down the climbing structures and going head first down the slides. It's pretty amazing how fast they grow and change. They had so much fun and it was a great way to start off the weekend.

I am such a lucky Mommy!

Little Drummers

One of our favorite places to take the kids is the Bay Area Discovery Museum. We have a year pass, so we get to go pretty often. Every once in awhile, when the weather is nice, they set up various things outside for the kids to do. This particular day, they had a bunch of drums and xylophones set up. As you can see, they all loved it!

Team Jardine

Last summer, to celebrate Eric's dad's 60th birthday, his sister, Renee, had t-shirts made for everyone in the immediate family, including the kids. At the time, they were super big. I just tried them on yesterday and they fit perfectly! Each of the t-shirts had the kids name on the front. On the back, it says Jardine 60. It was such a great idea and I am glad that the kids have had an extra long time to enjoy them!

Just for fun, I included some pictures that we took of the kids in their Jardine t-shirts when we first got them last Aug. It's amazing to see how much the kids have grown and changed in such a short time.

Molokai

Eric & I were finally able to get away for a few days to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We decided to go to Molokai, which is one of the least populated Hawaiian islands. It was very relaxing and great to get away. We did, however, miss the kids like crazy. We were gone for 5 days, including travel days, and that is by far much longer than we have ever been away from the kids. So, it was hard. As Eric put it, "They are a part of us now" and so it is hard to be away from them for too long. It was, however, a much needed break and we did really enjoy it. Here are just a few random snap shots of our time away. As you can see... they are much more boring without the kids! :)

Our footprints were the first and maybe only footprints this particular morning on this 3 mile amazingly beautiful beach!

We went to a Jazz music night at the "Coffee's of Hawaii" Plantation.

This was the view from our Lanai.
