Virtual Babysiting and Ski Championships

Yesterday, we dialed up my parents on Skype and the kids gave them about an hour of entertainment. We just pointed the webcam at the Jumperoo, Exersaucer and rolling chair and they got to see real time the kids in action and talk to them the entire time. Each of the kids has really taken to their Jumperoo toy. We have a pair of shoes to provide added traction and to prevent blisters. Alana had some serious blisters a few weeks back and the shoes have avoided that trauma. On Friday night Joe was in the jumper and every time I came in the room, he would start jumping like crazy. Alana does a little Jig dancing from one foot to the other in pretty good rhythm.

Josiah has started to recover from his cold. We took him to the doc last Monday because he was congested. He has not lost any joy all week but has been stuffed up and coughing on occasion. I got a little of his bug last week too and am recovering as well just in case you were concerned. Alana was able to pin him today in a little wrestling match (see photo below).

Finally, we've really tried to keep the kids from watching any TV. But, every once in awhile we turn it on and they become completely enamored (hence, why we try to avoid having the TV on when they are in the room). Last weekend was the World Alpine Ski Championships and Alexa was completely excited to watch! She was in her roller chair and pushed it right to the angle of optimum viewing. I can't imagine what it will be like to be chasing her down the hill saying, wait for me!!!
