We had a much needed fun and relaxing time in Costa Rica. It was amazing timing to take a break from life in SF to digest the upcoming life changing events. We just returned to have our first visit with the "high risk" pregnancy department yesterday and decided that it was finally okay to share the news... we are having TRIPLETS!!! It was quite the shock of a lifetime! Considering we have no twins or triplets on either side of our families and we didn't do any fertility treatments, we have no idea what happened! Other than, God wants to bless us with 3 babies! There is no other explanation! :)
Our first reaction was shock, terror, and denial! However, we have turned the corner to acceptance and finally to joy and excitement! We have no idea why God would want to give us 3 babies at once, but all we can say is that they are going to be super special!
Our doctor's appointment went really well yesterday. We definitely have 3 bouncing babies in there! They were literally doing flips. It's amazing that they have already grown so big and that I am already starting to show... at 11 weeks! I am eating like crazy because I am literally hungry 24/7 and am well on my way to gaining that 60-70 pounds I was told I should gain! Holy cow!
