My Sweet Little Ladies

The kids have always liked my red exercise ball. When they were newborns, they enjoyed a soft gentle bouncing on the ball to soothe them. Now, they enjoy bouncing a bit more vigorously. The girls like to both be on my lap at the same time. Actually, the truth is that they prefer to be the only one on my lap. However, if they must, they prefer to both be on my lap at the same time rather than having to wait. So, I put them both on my lap together the other day and had a little bouncy time on the exercise ball and they seemed to enjoy it.

Spikey

I've mentioned before that Alana likes to put everything on her head. Even when she's done eating she likes to rub her wet, sticky, slimy hands in her hair! Ughh! Well, one night as we were wiping the food out of her hair we decided to see how spikey we could get it. Once her hair was spiked, she turned amazingly mischievous! What do you think?

No more crib drawer

Josiah's crib has always had a drawer at the bottom of it. I never used it because I was afraid that once the kids saw me open it they would never leave it alone. Surprisingly, it took them quite a long time to notice the drawer because it was never used. However, one day Josiah noticed it and opened it and it was all over. All 3 of them were addicted to opening and closing it and sticking toys inside of it. Big deal, right? Well, last weekend Eric & I were in the kitchen cleaning up breakfast (literally for like 3 minutes!). Eric walks into their bedroom and finds both Josiah and Alexa inside of the drawer! So, we removed the drawer so that it sits on the floor below the crib. Josiah, however, still found a way to climb inside it. Crazy little monkeys, I tell ya!

The Pouch

The kids have recently started storing food in the pouch of their bibs. It's pretty unintentional, but it's become the fun thing to do at the end of the meal when we remove the tray, they search to see what food didn't quite make it into their mouths and ended up in the pouch of their bibs. It's amazing how much food ends up there. They actually enjoy finding their leftovers, so it's pretty funny.

Goofy Girl!

One night recently, Alexa was in the goofiest mood ever. She had decided to use her bouncy chair as a bouncy "toy" or "ride", while, of course, putting something on her head. Eric was able to capture some pretty funny pictures that night...

No pictures, please!

It's not so easy getting all 3 of the kids to sit still and pose for a picture. In fact, it's nearly impossible. When they were younger and didn't move we could get the cutest pictures because we could pretty much pose them in any position and they would stay. Now, the last thing in the world they want to do is to all sit still for a picture. In fact, someone once said it's like herding cats! Hah! So, we got some funny "out-takes" of our failed attempt to get a good picture. Oh well!

Everything belongs on my Head

Alana has recently learned how to put things on the top of her head, including coasters, blocks, toys, food, etc. It seems that everything belongs on her head, recently. The funniest thing is that when she is done eating and is officially "full" she begins to put her food on her head. So, she literally put
four pieces of pancake on her head after breakfast the other day. She is quite the goofball! :)

My little Snugglar

Alexa has recently become my little snugglar. Josiah, from the day he got home from the hospital, has always been a great snuggler. But, recently, both the girls have learned how to squeeze tight and to lay their little heads down on our shoulder. Alexa, however, has decided she likes to snuggle everything, including her blanket, her stuffed Elmo, and just about anything. That's Alexa on my lap snuggling away!

Big Kid Bath

We are finally able to put all 3 kids in the bath tub at the same time. We have yet to actually get a picture of all 3 of them in the tub at the same time, however, due to needing all hands on deck on the 3 squishy, slippery babies! We were able to get Josiah & Alexa to get in the bath tub long before Alana. Alana seems to be a bit timid around water, but she eventually warmed up to the idea and now literally tries to jump in. She's the one standing on the outside of the tub. Alexa likes to stand up in the bath tub, which freaks me out. She truly thinks she is a fish and has a great time trying to soak us all.

Endless search for Swings

Since the only thing the kids can do at the park is swing, Eric & I have been on an endless search for swings. Thankfully, there are plenty of parks around with swings. So, we have continued to get some cute shots of the kids. We've recently discovered, due to a lack of available swings at some playgrounds, that the girls can both fit into the same swing. They seem to really enjoy swinging together and it's pretty darn cute, if I may say so myself.

Swing Time Fun!

The kids new favorite thing to do is to go to the park and swing on the swingset. They think they are soo cool! These pictures are taken last week and yes, it is summer in San Francisco!

That's Alana at the top flashing her award winning smile while "lounging" in the swing. Alexa is the one in the middle showing off her skill of clapping and swinging at the same time. And that's Joe, at the bottom, flashing his "toother" grin! :)
